You Can Bank On BARCLAYS
Kidz R Us would like to thank Barclays for their "Work In The Community" small grant programme.
This scheme releases their staff to physically help those people in he community with decorating, cleaning and general renovating.
The staff of Barclays came to us at Park Place Chapel, the home of Kidz R Us and completely renovated the front of our building. They stripped the old wooden doors, stained them thus making them look like new. They cleaned out patio area, painted railings and even went as far as planting trees for us, which they provided.
The finishing touch was the erection of a notice board, which allows us to promote our busy programme of activities.

Helping hand for Kids' drama club Reported by Gwent Gazette on 24th August 2006
A successful children's club is reaping even further rewards thanks to a financial windfall, writes JAMIE ROBINS.
The Kidz R Us club was recently awarded a £1,000 grant from Barclays to help give their premises at Park Place Chapel in Tredegar a facelift.
As well as the money, staff from Barclays gave hands on support by spending a few days outside the church weeding the club's entrance, varnishing the door and painting the wrought iron fencing.
There is even enough money left over to provide a billboard which will herald the news that Kidz R Us are well and truly in residence.
Tracy Leeks, manager at Barclays in Bargoed, whose seven-year-old daughter Chloe attends the club said: 'It was very rewarding.
'It's nice to see an older building being done up.
'It's also great knowing that so many youngsters use the building as well as it being available to the wider community.'
Kidz R Us is a non profit organisation run totally by volunteers which aims to teach performing arts such as dance, drama and song to children in the surrounding area.
It now boasts around 180 children some of whom travel from Merthyr, Cwmbran and Monmouth to take part in activities which cater for those from three years up to 18 and older.
Kidz R Us also has a strong band of volunteer parents of around twenty who help out cleaning behind the scenes.
The club has come a long way since its humble beginnings in 2002 when it started with just five members.
Its social and entertainment calendar is full to over flowing with classes from tap dance to guitar lessons, dance workshops, choir meetings, shows and performances.
The project aims to provide a venue where children can have fun and learn new skills thereby keeping them off the streets.
Thank Barclays!
